Details:

Junior Dance Intensive is a shortened version of Ballet Magnificat!'s Summer Dance Intensive, offering students age 9-15 a week-long experience patterned after the annual SDI. Students are exposed to a variety of dance styles, and many classes are taught by professional dancers from Ballet Magnificat!’s Touring Company. Students will also perform one of Ballet Magnificat’s original pieces for their families at the end of the week!

Registration is open for all students! (School of the Arts who have completed Level IA and Up)

June 15-21 2025 (Sunday-Saturday)

Students are responsible for their own housing and food throughout the week.

Ballet Magnificat! Studios  

I-55 North, Jackson MS

Requirements:

  • 9-15 years old (Levels IA-IVB in School of the Arts)

  • 2 years of consecutive classical ballet training (taking classes at least twice a week)

Schedule:

  • Sunday 1:00-4:00pm Orientation and Placement class

  • Monday-Friday 3:00-8:15pm Classes 

  • Saturday 9:00am-12:30pm -   Parent Observation and Student Gala

Cost:

There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee that is included in the tuition.

Tuition: $380

There will be a 10% discount for siblings.

Dress Code:

Girls should wear pink full-length tights and any color modest leotard (not low-cut or revealing) with a black ballet skirt and pink ballet shoes and pointe shoes if applicable. Shorts may be worn for contemporary, improv and conditioning classes. Boys should wear any color t-shirt, black tights, black shorts, and black or white socks with matching ballet shoes.

Registration instructions:

  1. Head over to our online portal

  2. New students: Fill out the information.

    Already have an account? Login and go to step 5.

  3. Next, click on “Add a student”

    • Choose the location: “School of the Arts”

    • Enter an emergency contact that is not a parent

    • Enter the name the student prefers to be called (Example: “Liz” for Elizabeth)

    • Fill out the other details

    • Agree to the terms and conditions

  4. Click on “Save Account and Login”

  5. Click on “Register for Classes”

  6. Under the “Show” drop-down menu, select “School of the Arts Only”

  7. Select the second tab for “Junior Dance Intensive 2025”

  8. A List of classes will appear below.

    • Select the classes that accurately report how many years of pointe and ballet training your student has had.

    • Select the correct t-shirt size for your student.

  9. Click on “Submit“ at the bottom of the page

  10. Click on the green button at the top: “Finish Registration Now”

  11. Agree to the terms and conditions, enter your promo code (if applicable) and click “Pay Now” in order to make a payment

  12. Once payment is finalized, your registration is complete
